The track/DJ/party that made me want to be a DJ was:
The whole communal energy and the diversity of people all coming together and gettin down at the old warehouse parties in the early 90's was very inspiring! I was playing in bands at the time, but got really into DJing at friends' house parties and then clubs eventually..... Im happy and grateful to be able to make a good living off of DJ'ing and creating music full-time... So, Respect and much thanks and appreciated to the people who love and support the music!

Influences:
Everything from rock to funk, reggae, hip-hop, soul, and just about everything else. I also get alot of inspiration from touring and traveling all the time, being in various environments and meeting new people always opens your mind.

I got my first break:
Playing at little warehouse and house parties.

Some DJs I like playing with are:
There is alot of great local talent and you gotta support that! Too many to name...

Favorite thing about the SF scene:
Diversity and character. There’s alot of great DJs and support from the people, which keeps this city rocking all the time!

Least favorite thing about the SF scene:
Sound systems can always be better over all. I also wish the bars served later than just 2 am in California! We gotta get that changed somehow eventually, and it would be a whole new kick in the ass for the city. Some new outdoor venues and events would be great as well in the summer.

My favorite SF party is/was:
Love Garage and lift were rockin. Boat Parties and Groove Kitchen were alot of fun also!

My favorite Club to play in is:
I dont have just one favorite because it changes alot over time. Sir Henrys in Cork (Ireland) was completetly off the hook, but closed recently. La Terraza in Barcelona is great. The 'good vibrations' outdoor daytime festival tour in Australia use to be rockin! Lokita in Mallorca is always off the hook! DEEP in LA is always great as well. There are just too many to name.

If I could put together MY dream music festival, the Entertainment would be:
Hendrix, Burning Spear, Prince, The Rolling Stones, Bob Marley, Steely Dan, Gangstarr, Tribe Called Quest, Zeppelin, White Stripes, the Cars, Sade, shit, I could go on for a very long time here on this one!

If I couldn't play records I would probably be a professional:
My favorite thing is to write and create music, so I would work in my recording studio alot more often and focus all my energy on my live band 'Petalpusher'! I love playing live music and traveling, so i would continue touring... I also have my label 'Salted Music' so i would keep that rolling as well.

I want to thank these people for helping me get this far:
All the music lovers and supporters worldwide!... I couldnt do all this if it wasnt for you peeps, so much appreciation to you all!

What you want people to know and we didn't ask:
Be a good person and keep and open mind. There’s enough hate in this world. Support indie artists and labels and music of all kinds!... And viva Don Julio!

My motto is:
"Keep it real!"
