The track/DJ/party that made me want to be a DJ was:
Local DJs Nic B (Quebec City) and Luc Raymond (Montreal) but also Mark Farina, John Howard, Derrick Carter and Diz.

Influences:
Soul, Funk, Jazz, Afrobeat, Hip Hop…All kinds of music influence me but also people, travels and life experiences.

I got my first break:
Playing in a Top 40 club when I was 19. I wasn’t able to play what I wanted but I learned to build a night and to play for the people. My first DJ trip out of the country was here in SF with fellow DJ John Howard, also at Mission Rock!

Some DJs I like playing with are:
DJ Heather, Iz and Diz, jt Donaldson, Olivier Desmet, Lawnchair Generals, etc…

Favorite thing about the SF scene:
The diversity. I enjoy all kinds of music and SF is a great place to catch all kinds of bands and DJs.

Least favorite thing about the SF scene:
The music has gone a little dark for my taste but I feel like the Techno and Deep House scenes are merging again which is a great thing!

My favorite SF party is/was:
I remember a great night for Stompy at 550 Barnavelt st. circa 1999. The Scuba parties back then were also fun back then. I’m hoping to start my Lazy Days parties in the city soon too.

My favorite Club to play in is:
Fabric in London

If I could put together MY dream music festival, the Entertainment would be:
DJ Wise, I’d have Mr Scruff, Diz, Greg Wilson, Mark Farina. Live Erykah Badu, Jill Scott, Jamie Lidell and Kraftwerk!

If I couldn't play records I would probably be a professional:
Graphic Designer or something in visual arts.

I want to thank these people for helping me get this far:
Luc Raymond, John Howard, Diz, Mark Bell, Mark Farina, AtJazz, Ralph Lawson and 20:20 Vision, Fabric, Sub Club, Charlotte (Outloud), Shannon (Apt), Caroline Hoste, The OM-ies, Coleen and of course my mother Francine Blais. I also would like to send a special thanks to everyone who supported me through the years in the clubs and with my music. I wouldn’t be here without you.

My motto is:
Si tu Ra…Rasidere (It’s a Quebec thing!)
